Berra Sertel was born in Germany and graduated from the Department of German Language and Literature at Istanbul University in 1998. She translated books for Sistem Publishing and also worked as Foreign Trade Manager in corporate life for many years.

In 2004, Sertel was introduced to yoga— and has never looked back. She recognized that it had a transformative effect on her own life and wanted to share that practice and insight with others. She considers it an important field, where art and science are harmonized in life-changing ways.

Berra has dedicated her life to training new yoga trainers and helping people to realize a more conscious and healthier life. In the last four years alone, she has conducted sessions with more than 450 people per month and 4,000 hours of training.

She has worked, and still works, with many world-renowned trainers representing different schools. She took her first 200 hours of training from Zeynep Aksoy and had the opportunity to train for a long time with Sarah Powers, Godfrey, Sudaka, Hart Lazer, and two great masters Paulie Zink and Mantak Chia.

Due to the illnesses and injuries she experience herself, Berra deepened her knowledge about anatomy, Chinese Medicine and Yin Yoga. She has blended them with basic Yoga and designed special one-on-one programs with the aim of healing people. She advocates that mental and physical illnesses can be healed through this method, either completely or partially.

Sertel is a trainer at the Yoga Alliance, and the certificates she gives at the end of her ‘train the trainer’ trainings have international validity. She gives classes on Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin Yoga, Partner Yoga and Prenatal Yoga. She also offers sessions of chakra analysis, which supports personal development.

Jesus Bergua

Born in Valencia, raised in Zaragoza, Spain. Fortunately graphic design ruined my engineering life. I grew a big beard and focused on photography and video. I have a highly precise trend detector device under my skin and a quality sensitive filter in my brain. I jot down great ideas in my notebook everyday. I live to accomplish them. Now I live in Istanbul.
